First motorcycle ride

This picture was supposed to be at the end and I deleted it, but couldn't leave it out. I love his big eyes and the "did you see what I just did" expression.

While hanging out at Grammy and Poppy's on Father's Day we decided Ryker could go on his first motorcycle ride. He LOVES sitting on any motorcycle, but he seems to especially love Poppy's (maybe because he didn't know at that time that his dad has one too). Grammy and Poppy bought a harness so the grand kids could go on rides with Poppy. Ryker wasn't too excited about getting all strapped in, but once he sat on the bike all that pain and torture was no longer as bad as he thought it was.

We ALWAYS wear our helmet.....unless you're Poppy :)

Here's a quick movie of Ryker riding around the circle.

Ryker's 1st birthday parties

Ryker turned 1!!!!!

We had so much fun celebrating Ryker's birthday that we couldn't stop with just 1 party. We celebrated his birthday with my family a few days early since Andrew and Brandi were in town and I wanted them to be a part of the celebrations.

The next party was with Jacob's family on his birthday. Being the smart Mom that I am, I scheduled his 1 year check-up on his b-day so not only did he get gifts and a cupcake he also got 5 shots. (according to the scales/measuring device Ryker hasn't grown since his last appointment. I know he has because his clothes don't fit him any more) He usually takes it pretty well and is able to go to sleep afterwards, but this year he had to get to his party. He was a little under the weather until he got some food in his tummy and played with his cousins.

The 3rd party was just the three of us. Since Jacob was out of town for the other two we waited for him to come home and celebrated again. Ryker was so happy to have his dad home. He wouldn't let him out of his sight for the first few days.

Ryker had a blast opening his gifts and eating his cupcakes. He is so blessed to have such a wonderful family who loves him. He LOVES all of his gifts and plays with them on a daily basis.

Since most of the parties are on video I was able to come up with some pictures.

My Mom and I tried our hands at decorating. Not too shabby for a first attempt.

Yummy......cupcake

He got the hang of opening presents pretty quickly.
(we are still unpacking hence the Christmas wrapping paper)

I now know to use chocolate cupcakes and colored frosting. It looks so much messier.
