Ryker is 1!!!

Time really does fly when you're having fun! It's been a great year and I just can't believe we have a 1 year old. He is so much fun and spoils us with his great personality and little antics. He is our perfect little boy who we love more than anything!!!!!!

Isn't he just so handsome!!

He posed all by himself

He loves being outside

Riding Uncle Tony's horse Lady

Nap time with Dad

Here are a few things he has done/said over the last month:
-picks up his toys (sometimes without being asked)
-bosses the dogs around telling them to sit, stay, go and get
-making friends in our new ward and kissing the girls
-throws his diapers away in his diaper pail (I'm not sure if that was such a good idea since he tried throwing my wallet in there and who knows what else)
-he does actions to "If your happy and you know it..."
-folds his arms during prayers
-he went to his first movie in the theater and slept through the whole thing
-He is tall enough to pull things off the table and counter top and can reach the locks on the doorknobs
Ryker's birthday blog will be coming soon

Monkey see monkey do

As I was sitting here looking at all of your blogs after taking a nice little run with Ryker I was feeling a little warm and sweaty so I grabbed just below the collar of my shirt and started fanning so the cool air would cool me off quicker. I have Ryker in the pac n play next to me and when I looked over he had a hold of his shirt and was doing exactly what I was doing.

A few weeks ago Jacob had gone outside and was loading an ATV on a trailer and the dogs were in the house going nuts whining and crying thinking he was going to leave them. I sent them downstairs in hopes they would just lay down. No such luck. They kept coming up the stair and whining so I kept telling them to get downstairs, lay down and stay. I repeated the "stay" part a few times hoping they would get the hint. After a few rounds of this I went to walk away from the stair, but before I could Ryker pointed at them and yelled "stay". Every time I told them to stay (and I do point my finger at them when I say it) he would point and tell them.

I know he's watching and growing and learning every day I just didn't realize how much he watches and picks up on what we do.

Happy 11 month birthday....a month ago

Ryker is growing up so fast and I'm trying to keep up with him and the blog. Obviously the blog has taken a backseat to him. Here are the fun new things he's learned this month:
-He hasn't learned to walk, but does with help of his push toy
-He will make the signs for please and milk. We are excited about this since we forget to work with him on it like we should
-He had both front bottom teeth cut within a day of each other.
-He ate dirt for the first....and second......time(s)
-When asked how big he is he will put his arms up in the air
-He loves playing "Head, shoulder, knees and toes" but still needs a lot of help
-He is starting to balance himself fairly well
-He is a big helper when it comes to holding tools
-He went swimming for the first time
-He also went for his first four wheeler ride
-He cleans up his toys with just a little help
-He had his first tastes of soda pop....without my consent

Is that chocolate on your face????? Nope
