My first real bath

Ryker's belly button finally fell off so he was able to take a real bath. In all reality it was the first bath for all of us. Ryker didn't like it as much as I was hoping he would, but since we all came out alive and Ryker was the only wet one, I would have to call it a success.

One of these days I'll figure out how to put the pictures on in the order that makes sense. This will have to do for now.

Parents?

A lot of people said that our lives would be turned upside down or forever changed with kids. I am sure that our life is forever changed, but not quite upside down, just a little off center. All I know is this, a kid is exhausting. If Ryker is sleeping, we are watching him move and constantly double checking his breathing and if he is awake, we are doing whatever we can think of to take care of him. It is amazing how one little sleeping stud can command so much attention. These are some pictures of us trying to catch up and try not to be zombies.

Don't call me Baby!

Ryker is the name we have settled on for our new little man. We discussed and brainstormed through so many different names and always came back to this one. We are very happy with it and the more that we say it, the more that the name fits him perfectly.

We need to get all three of us into one picture, but have not remembered to do that when the camera is out.

And the Winner is......

Tiffany and I had our baby two days ago, June 15th at 6:07 p.m. We were in the delivery room for just over 24 hours! It was a big (huge) job and I am so amazed at Tiffany's strength and determination through this entire process. Tiffany did so much work and I am so appreciative of the opportunity to be able to be a part of this process of bringing a new life into this world. We are so excited for the new addition to our family.

Well, for those of you who have been in anxious anticipation for the gender of our baby.........if you voted for a boy, you are a good guess! Our new little man was born weighing 9 lbs 14 ounces and 22 inches long. We were very surprised at how big the baby was as was everyone in the delivery room. Tiffany is doing great and has not missed a beat on her incredible positive attitude and excitement for this new, not so little bundle of joy.

We will get more pictures posted soon, but for now I think that this one will do the trick. We love and appreciate all of our families who have supported us so much over the last nine months and especially the last 48 hours. Thank you.

One week to go!!

Wow, only one week left!! Part of me can't believe it's so close and the other part feels like it's so far away. The anticipation is starting to get to both of us and these Braxton Hick contractions are really starting to mess with my head. Just when I think we're getting close to the trip to the hospital, because they are close together and getting stronger, they go away and only come every hour or so. I know, it's all part of game. This is probably the only time in my life I really wish the pain would come and stay. I can't say too much because I'm not even to the due date yet. I'm just hoping that when I go in to the doctor tomorrow I will have made some progress so the pain isn't for nothing. Who knows, maybe the next post will have pictures of the baby instead of me. That would be a refreshing site to see ;)
